Mark Edwards received an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting from State Fair Community College in 1977, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Central Missouri in 1979, and an MBA from William Woods University in 2004.


While working his way through college, Mark held various positions in the banking industry. He accepted his first post-graduation position covering the Midwest with ADP, assisting companies in converting to automated computerized systems.

For the next 35 years, Mark worked as Area Finance Manager for Diebold, Controller / Operations Manager with Gardner-Denver, Controller with Waterloo Industries, Company Controller with Thyssenkrupp Stahl and Chief Financial Officer with Bennett Packaging of Kansas City.


These companies varied in size from $15M to $285M at the local level to over $5B worldwide. Mark spent the past 10 years helping his $19M firm move through a rapid growth and expansion period to become a $75M+ company. This required Mark to coordinate the utilization of several Economic Development programs offered within the City of Lee’s Summit MO, Kansas City MO, Wichita KS, the State of Missouri, and the State of Kansas. The programs included Industrial Revenue Bonds, Chapter 100 Bonds, Workforce Development Grants, and various other Employment Development Training Programs.

Over his career he has attended and been trained in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizan events; Theory of Constraints” Training at Goldratt Institute New Haven CT / Yale University; APIC Manufacturing Education Series; and the Association of Manufacturing Excellence.

During his tenure, Mark has served as a Councilman for the City of Sedalia, a Board Member for Boys and Girls Club, a member of both the Sedalia Lions Club and the Sedalia Rotary, a Board Member for Sedalia Girls Softball, and VP of KC Formation Flight Show Team.

Mark recently moved back to the Sedalia area and looks forward to getting involved in the local community that raised him with good basic Midwest values.
